In every country, the construction of an international airport is known to be an international gateway for the passengers & goods transit in the world arena. In this regard, after the operation of Imam Khomeini International Airport's phase 1, phase2 started with the construction of a pilgrimage terminal in an area of 60-hectares. After reviewing the plan on June 5th 2016, it was decided by the minister of roads and urban development that the name be changed to Salam terminal.
